Employment Opportunities with e-tran
e-tran transit services are contracted services operated by MV Public Transportation, Inc. People hired to work for e-tran are not employees of the City of Elk Grove, rather they are employed by the independent contractor, MV Public Transportation, Inc.
Questions and/or communications regarding employment bulletins shown below should be directed to MV Public Transportation, Inc. and not to the City of Elk Grove.
Unless noted in the job announcement, all positions are with MV Public Transportation, Inc.
Vehicle Operator
Applicants are advised that pre-employment drug tests and background checks (as well as ongoing random drug screening) are required by the Department of Transportation. All candidates must be 21 years of age or older, and possess a valid, unrestricted California Drivers License with a clean driving record.
If you do not currently have a Class B license we will help you get it!
Beginning positions are full and part time. Full-time employees are eligible for health and dental benefits.
All candidates must apply in person with a current (within 30 days) original Department of Motor Vehicles H-6 driving record print-out, a valid California driver's license, and an original social security card. Copies will be taken of the driver's license and social security card, the original H-6 printout will be retained as part of the application packet and become the property of MV Public Transportation. All applications will be filled out, onsite, using an MV-provided, paperless application system.
