E-Van Regional Service Changes/Modifications
All Regional trips will be limited to Medical Trips only.
South Sacramento Kaiser Medical and Meadowview Light Rail Station are considered local service and we will continue to honor reservations to those locations.
Existing Subscriptions for Medical purposes will remain, all other Subscriptions will be discontinued.
Existing Local Subscriptions will remain unchanged.
The City will be launching the Purple Line Route to provide service to e-van passengers with employment destinations/others in downtown Sacramento. The route will be open to the general public and will deviate up to a mile from the route for an e-van pick-up/drop-off. A total of 4 deviations per trip will be allowed (two in Elk Grove and two in Sacramento). Please call at least a day prior to schedule a deviation. Reminder: Deviations cost an extra 0.50 cents/deviation. Cost to ride will be based on current e-tran fares. For a map and schedule of these routes, please visit our website at www.e-tran.org

24 Hours Per Day – Leave a message after hours (if requesting for a ride; you will be notified of a confirmed reservation next business day)

e-van is a service of e-tran and the City of Elk Grove.e-van provides services required under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and for seniors that are age 75 years old and older. Services are funded with Transportation Development Act (TDA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) revenues.
e-van offers ADA service within the city limits of Elk Grove and to medical facilities in South Sacramento for passengers that are unable to board e-tran fixed route vehicles. Seniors that are age 75 years old and older can also use e-van.
e-van will also provide regional service to ADA certified passengers through the urbanized Sacramento area for medical related trips only. These communities and cities include Sacramento, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, Rio Linda, Elverta, Arden/Arcade, Orangevale, Antelope, North Highlands, and portions of Folsom.

Hours of Operation
e-van is designed as a complementary paratransit service for seniors age 75 years old or better and persons with disabilities.
e-van will operate seven (7) days a week: Monday-Sunday

Fares
When you make a reservation for a trip on e-van, you will be told the fare for your trip. You must pay your fare as soon as you get into the vehicle. You may pay in cash or with a 10-Ride Pass. If you are paying with cash, bring exact change because the bus operators cannot make change.
Cash Fares:

| $7.50 | .......... | Regional, one way travel within the City of Elk Grove and to certain areas in South Sacramento with an advance reservation. |
10-Ride Pass Prices:
| $35.00 | .......... | Local 10-Ride Pass for trips that begins and ends ONLY within the City of Elk Grove. |
| $75.00 | .......... | Regional 10-Ride Pass for trips within the City of Elk Grove and to Medical Facilities in Sacramento. |
Monthly Pass Prices:
| $150.00 | .......... | Valid on e-van local and regional service. All passes capped at 44 trips a month. |
Passes or tickets for e-tran, Paratransit, Inc or other transit operators are not valid on e-van. Transfers are not issued or accepted for trips requiring the boarding or alighting of another paratransit service.
Purchasing 10-Ride and Monthly Passes:
You can purchase 10-Ride passes for e-van in the following ways:
- In person at Elk Grove City Hall Accounting Department, 8401 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove, CA 95758, Monday-Friday (excluding Holidays) 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Through the mail, by mailing a personal check or money order to the address listed above.
- Via f ax, by faxing your credit card information and 10-Ride Pass request to (916) 684-0912.

Travel on e-van is by advance reservation only. Reservations are made by calling the e-van Customer Service Center. Reservation calls are accepted from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Fridays. You must make your reservation no later than 5:00 p.m, the day before your trip. You can make your reservation as early as two days in advance.
Weekend Services
Weekend Shuttle offers a special service called a route deviation on Saturdays and Sundays. This route may “deviate” or travel off route up to ¾ mile to pick up and drop off ADA certified passengers. Reservations must be made at least one day prior by calling (916) 683-8726. An additional 50 cent fare is required.

New to transit? Do you want to learn how to ride the bus? Call (916) 683-8726 or email transit@elkgrovecity.org to learn how to ride e-tran. We will help plan your trip, provide you with an e-tran Rider’s Guide, and help you to understand how to ride e-tran.
In the Mobility Training Program, you can learn to:
- Travel independently.
- Gain a general understanding of the e-tran system.
- Maneuver mobility aids on and off buses.
Mobility Training includes:
- How to get to and from the bus stop or light rail train station.
- Training to specific destinations.
- How to identify landmarks.

- e-tran is less expensive than riding e-van.

e-tran Fixed Route Bus Service
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), e-tran provides fully accessible fixed-route service in the City of Elk Grove and to Downtown Sacramento. Seniors age 62 and older and individuals with disabilities can ride e-tran at a reduced fare. e-tran encourages individuals with disabilities to take advantage of the independence and flexibility that is provided by our bus system, which offers the following accessible features:
- Stop announcements.
- Priority seating for riders who have difficulty standing while the vehicle is moving.
- Lift equipped buses to assist riders who use wheelchairs or have difficulty getting up and down the bus steps.
- One or two reserved wheelchair secured spaces on buses.

Other Demand Responsive Transit Service Providers in Sacramento Region
In addition to e-van, there are other demand responsive transit services for seniors and persons with disabilities available to you throughout Sacramento County. e-van can also provide access to Placer County, Yolo County and San Joaquin County. Contact the transit providers for more details on their service. Once you are certified on e-van, your certification is valid on the other transit providers that provide demand responsive services (as long as the certification meets the criteria established by that transit operator).
