The City of Elk Grove’s e-van service now handles the transport of Elk Grove seniors previously provided by the Senior Center of Elk Grove. The new service began November 1, 2014. City and Senior Center officials have been working closely together to ensure that the transition from the Senior Center Dial-a-Ride to the City’s e-van system is seamless. City staff have been available at the Senior Center and by phone to answer questions from seniors and their caregivers. Initial feedback from seniors is excitement in the increased service hours that will be available to them. For more information about the City’s Transit Services please call 916-627-3337 or visit www.e-tran.org.

The Purple Route was modified to increase ridership on September 8, 2014. Modifications included eliminating the Meadowview Light Rail Station and adding two new timepoints on Laguna Boulevard at Apple Computer and 30th Street at R Street in Sacramento. Since the September service changes, the ridership has increased enough to warrant a larger style bus to accommodate passenger loads. The larger bus can accommodate an additional sixteen passengers and will provide another commute option for Elk Grove residents. For more information about the new schedule and route modifications, click here or call e-tran at 916-627-3337.
